Still Surreal

When studying abroad in college, most people say that they went to England, France or Spain. Not many people choose Asia to spend 5 months. So out of anywhere in the world, why would I choose Singapore?

Besides being one of the biggest business hubs in the world, or that my class credits would transfer easily, I chose to study abroad in Singapore because it gives me a good chance to really get into the heart of Asian culture. Singapore is extremely diverse, having four official languages with different demographics from all over Asia. Additionally, it is extremely easy to travel while in Singapore. I am planning to go to at least Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, China and Japan, but we'll see how that works out...

I still can't believe that I will be across the world in less than two months, but I am ready for a life changing, growing experience and hope to return with the knowledge gained from such a different culture.
